Memristor maybe start use in commercial product within 3 years.

With memristor - the “missing link” in electric circuit theory - we can do electric circuit design totally different and new way.

Over 250 years our electric circuit design was not correct, miss understanding, because of without memristor. Specially people say “Analogue” and “Digital” circuit going to same with memristor. Many years of miss understanding and miss use of electric device technology finally going to change with memristor.

many current people think for electric device:

computer need boot time.

in case power off then data will loss.

Analogue is nice because works as it. Like Light system power ON makes works.

however with memoristor no more boot time for computer, power loss makes no problem for data. computer works like power ON Light system. works as it.

Analogue chip and digital chip calculation going to same.

HP Information and Quantum System Lab :

The joint effort between HP and Hynix will aim to develop memristor memory chips known as resistive random access memory (ReRAM), with an aim to have the first products ready by 2013.

Memristor revolution

Memristors--the fourth passive component type.

memristors are the "fourth" basic building block of circuits, after capacitors, resistors and inductors.

memristor--the "missing link" in electronic circuit theory

The devices started as a theoretical prediction in 1971 but HP's demonstration and publication of a real working device has put them on a possible roadmap to replace memory chips or even hard drives. The deal will see "memristors" - first demonstrated by HP in 2006 - mass produced for the first time.
