Adjuntas, Puerto Rico area, UFO sightings reached such a high number that the mayor wrote a letter to President Bush asking him to order an investigation. Two years before, a government official had proposed the establishment of a UFO commission, citing Adjuntas, El Yunque, Salinas, and Mayaguez as "specific sites for multiple UFO experiences."
Bonnybridge, Scotland: Billy Buchanan, a local councillor from the small Scottish town, began to pay attention to UFO sightings in the area in 1991. By 1994, 800 cases had been reported. One of Scotland's most famous close encounters occurred at nearby Dechmont Law, when forestry worker Bob was attacked by a mine-shaped object, ripping his clothes. A plaque commemorating the event was later installed at the site.
